Did Shawn Pay For Kaitlyn's Ring?

by Sienna Fantozzi

Going along with the whole "the most dramatic Bachelorette finale" in season history hoopla, tonight's show also boasts the most expensive ring in Bachelorette history, and I'm just wondering — did Shawn actually pay for Kaitlyn's engagement ring?

Monday night, Kaitlyn Bristowe will finally end her journey to find love, choosing between finalists Shawn Booth and Nick Viall, and if you believe the rumors, her choice has some seriously good taste in jewelry. Bristowe's engagement ring is reportedly worth $100K, so this show just keeps outdoing itself on so many levels. The 3.5-carat ring is one of the most expensive in show history, and is bigger than last season's Bachelorette, Andi Dorfman's, 3-carat ring. Wowza.

But this begs the question — did Shawn actually open up his wallet for this stunning sparkler? (If $100K doesn't signify serious intent for commitment, then I don't know what does). As it turns out — probably not. The show's go-to jeweler, Neil Lane, donates the engagement ring, but the winner only gets to keep it if the relationship lasts longer than two years, so Neil Lane definitely has some insurance built into that agreement.

Here's hoping Kaitlyn will be keeping both the ring and the man. But I guess time will tell on this one.
