Rising Label Self Portrait Does It Again

by Jade Melise Herrin

It happens every once in a while, you know, when we all stop what we're doing to turn our heads in the direction of a rising designer. This week, it happened as we watched as Rachel McAdams work a Self Portrait dress. This label is one to watch.

It's never a surprise when McAdams turns out looking stunningly beautiful, because she just continues to get better and better as the days go by. It's only fitting that she would be on the cutting edge, taking a newer label to the next level with class, and it's clear she's a big fan of this brand. I mean, it's the second time in one week she's worn Self Portrait! Gosh, what a human being. I really am just in awe of you, Ms. McAdams. Not to mention, she stunned in the dress while hanging with my boy, Jimmy Fallon. There is no better situation. #Goals.

But what is all the rage about Self Portrait? Inspired by Alexander McQueen, London based designer Han Chong has quickly made an impression on the luxury fashion industry with his brilliant design innovation. His vibe incorporates "feminine dresses and separates with lots of lace, embroidery and sheer overlays," according to a recent article on Fashionista. While McAdams beautifully brought the brand more attention, she is not the only celebrity to step out in Self Portrait. Here's a look at a few stars making the new label a solid staple.

Teal has never, EVER looked so good.

Lucy Hale

Seriously, white lace is such classic look on Hale.

Reese Witherspoon

Thank Witherspoon for redefining the term, "white collar." Perfection.

Kristen Stewart

Just YES in this jumpsuit.

Beyonce

I don't even think words are necessary for the Queen. You are flawless, Bey.

Kerry Washington

She's never been more elegant. Or more of a boss. That black lace is bad. And by bad I mean SO AMAZING.

And Everyone Else

Because Self Portrait is THAT good

I don't know about you, but I will absolutely be saving some cash to add a piece from Self Portrait to my closet!
