See Greta Gerwig's Perfect Premiere Looks

by Jodie Layne

It's been three years since we've gotten to see Greta Gerwig as a lovable leading lady in Frances Ha, but she's finally back to star in a new film she co-wrote: Mistress America . While I can't wait pull for, laugh at, and relate a little bit too much to her new character, I'm also really excited that a new film means some fresh Greta Gerwig Mistress America premiere looks.

Gerwig's style is completely enviable in the way that it effortlessly suits her. It's elegant, feminine, and a little different. She's exactly the type of person whose closet you'd completely want to raid, only her clothes wouldn't look half as good on you because they're just so perfect for her. You know?

Now that Gerwig is back, she is not disappointing. Earlier this week in London, she rocked a dramatic strapless Rosie Assoulin architectural peach peplum top and front slit Hellesy trousers for a sophisticated look. For the Los Angeles premiere of Mistress America, she put a playful modern twist on a classic matching tweed skirt set with a textured, crossover cropped top and handkerchief hem co-ord set. With a minimal makeup look and a windswept, braided up-do, the look was totally fresh and simultaneously recreate-able.

For those of us uninterested in embellishments or maxi dresses with late summer special events to attend, these are totally #outfitgoals.

These red carpet wins come as no surprise, though: Gerwig's outfits have been totally killing it in all of her appearances as of late:

Absolutely retro chic in a '70s floral dress at BBC.

Stunning in greige co-ords.

Gorgeous in green florals.

Now, if only she curated personal closets, too.
