Qantas Staff Upset About Kerr's New Modeling Gig

What if Miranda Kerr were asked to model a week's worth of your work outfits? You'd never want to step into them again, right? That said, you can imagine the horror of the Qantas airline staff when long and leggy Australian supermodel Miranda Kerr showed off their new flight attendant uniforms last April. According to MailOnline, the Qantas staff is now complaining about the outfit, calling it "sexy, tight and impractical."

The form-fitting dress, designed by Martin Grant, features a fuchsia and red color block pattern at the top and a slim black skirt bottom. And although it looks amazing, especially on Kerr, the staff isn't too pleased with its functionality. One flight attendant said, "The uniforms are really tight and they are simply not practical for the very physical job we have to do." Another said, "The uniform looks fantastic on Miranda Kerr but unfortunately we don't all look like her."

Beginning Thursday, over 12,000 Qantas employees will wear the new uniform, but most are hoping for alterations or to keep their old ones.

Although they are receiving backlash from their staff, Qantas says that the new uniforms have been trialled by 75 members and that the overwhelming response was positive. Still, they expect there'll be some adjustments when the new uniforms roll out.

A spokeswoman for the Flight Attendants Association of Australia National Division said they have asked the airline to "tweak the uniform a little to accommodate some concerns."
