'PLL' Totally Dominates At The Teen Choice Awards

It's been a night full of surprising twists and turns at the 2015 Teen Choice Awards. But if there's one thing that proved to be less than shocking, it's how much fans absolutely love a certain group of attractive, petite fibbers. (See you what I did there?) Yes, in a move that probably shocked almost no one, Pretty Little Liars won six Teen Choice Awards this year, which included the categories for: Choice TV Show, Drama; Choice TV Actress, Drama (Lucy Hale); Choice TV Actor, Drama (Ian Harding); Choice TV Villain (Vanessa Ray); Choice Summer TV Star, Male (Tyler Blackburn); and Choice Summer TV Star, Female (Ashley Benson). Oh, and did I mention that Tyler and Ashley were totally holding hands when they walked up on the stage to get their surfboard trophy? NBD. (Just kidding, it's a very big deal. Haleb represents all relationship goals both on and off screen.)

But back to the actual awards themselves. I have to admit, I was very shocked to learn that PLL beat out Empire in the Choice Drama category. As much as I obsess over the happenings in Rosewood, Empire has been the breakout show of the season and deserves as many accolades as it can get. But while a part of me is tempted to get in touch with my inner-Cookie wrath and just start throwing shoes in protest, it's important to remember that this is the Teen Choice Awards (special emphasis on the word "teen). And when it comes to teen drama, no one does it better than our beloved Liars. Watch them accept one of their many awards in the video below.

Not to mention that the stars themselves are just so lovable in almost every way. They love their fans and all have a huge social media presence, which may have factored into the voting process as well. Either way, I should've known better than to underestimate the power PLL wields among its fans. Because despite all that A has put them through, no one can keep a good Liar down. No one.
