Texas Actress Admits She Tried To Poison Obama

Shannon Richardson, a Texan actress who's appeared in the Walking Dead, plead guilty Tuesday to developing and possessing the ricin that was found in envelopes mailed to public figures in May. Richardson admitted to sending the poison-laced envelopes sent to President Obama, New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg, and the director of the Bloomberg coalition Mayors Against Illegal Guns, Mark Glaze.

In her June arrest, Richardson was initially charged with one count of threatening the President and two counts of mailing threatening communications. Specifically, ones that said this: "You will have to kill me and my family before you get my guns. Anyone wants to come to my house will get shot in the face."

And for Obama: "What's in this letter is nothing compared to what ive got in store for you mr president."

Richardson's plea bargain stipulates that she must cooperate in the prosecution of others, but there's no word yet on what exactly that means. If the bargain is approved, Richardson will be sentenced to 18 years in a federal prison.

No known antidote for riacin, the lethal dose of which is the size of a grain of salt, exists. But the poison was featured in some of the main plotlines of the highly-rated Breaking Bad, including a poisoned cigarette and culminating in some snuck into a Stevia packet to kill off a threat to Walter White/Heisenberg.
