Stiles Is Losing His Pack On 'Teen Wolf'

by Keertana Sastry

Things are falling apart all around Scott McCall, and there is nothing he can do to stop it at the moment. Actually, that's not entirely true. Scott could learn to trust the right people. On Monday night's episode of Teen Wolf, the disintegration of Scott's pack truly and properly began as Scott not only let Theo get between him and his very best friend Stiles, he also refused to turn Hayden into a werewolf to potentially save her and betraying Liam in the process. Could Scott lost his pack to Theo or worse, thanks to being the victim of manipulation and the bad choices that arose from it?

Scott decides to trust Theo over Stiles when Theo tells Scott about Donovan's death at the hands of Stiles before Stiles can muster up the courage to do so. But that's not the only person Scott is disappointing his pack right now. Liam is clearly feeling betrayed by his Alpha as Scott promised to keep Hayden safe and has not at all kept that promise. He used Hayden as bait to get the Dread Doctors to Beacon Hills High in a terribly unsuccessful plan, and he wasn't even the one to find Liam and Hayden when they were taken captive by the Dread Doctors. Theo "found" and "saved" them while Scott was viciously stabbing his fingernails into Cory to look into his memories for clues as to the Dread Doctors hide out.

So why won't Scott give Hayden the bite to potentially save her life? It's possible that he thinks the plan won't work and if that's the case, of course he's got a point. But at this stage in her clearly failing health, it's probable that Hayden and Liam would try anything to save her. But what if it's a different reason? What if he's unsure about saving Hayden? Maybe Scott believes that if Hayden survives, she'll hurt Liam and so many others as she was created by Dread Doctors for some reason that the pack has to figure out.

It'll be fascinating to see how Liam responds to Scott's decision. I'm sure he'll see it as a betrayal which will further destroy Scott's pack and help with Theo's plan to create his own pack without Scott. But what I really want to know is why Scott has refused to try this new plan to potentially save Hayden's life. I've always respected Scott's decisions on the show, even the dumb ones. But right now, he's doing things I don't understand or accept which makes it even more obvious that Theo and the Dread Doctors' plans are absolutely on the right track.
