More of This to Come to ABC Family

by Kaitlin Reilly

A few years ago, ABC Family was the go-to channel for Full House reruns and little else. Now that ABC Family has gotten into the original programming game, we've become hooked on the network's teen-centric dramas like Switched at Birth, Pretty Little Liars, and the more recent Twisted and Ravenswood. And it seems that the network isn't done filling up your DVR — ABC Family announced they're developing a new thriller from Switched at Birth creator Lizzy Weiss.

The show, titled Into Thin Air, will be a "high-concept family drama with thriller elements" and sounds more like Pretty Little Liars than Switched at Birth. That's a good thing, because we may be running out of time for the beloved mystery series. Pretty Little Liars is renewed until Season 5 — we are currently in the hiatus between Season 4A and 4B — and the writers have hinted that there's a chance that the show may end after the little liars finally graduate from Rosewood High at the end of the fifth season.

Though the fast-paced mystery Twisted and the new supernatural spin-off to Pretty Little Liars, Ravenswood, have definitely kept our attention, we'd love to add another show to the mix. ABC Family has done a great job at mixing up the formula on youth-centric dramas by giving us exciting mysteries and fast-paced action in order to keep us hooked, so it won't hurt to have another ABC Family drama in our DVR.
