The Latest Balmain x H&M Reveal Looks Familiar

After being teased by Kendall Jenner's and Jourdan Dunn's outfits at the 2014 Billboard Music Awards, I have been anxiously waiting for any more glimpses from the Balmain x H&M collaboration. Earlier today, the latest sneak peak from the Balmain x H&M collection was revealed via ELLE's Twitter. The tweet shows a beautifully embroidered black dress that is ladened with gold and white beads to create a gorgeously ornate design. The beaded detailing is quite similar to the pearly designs on Jenner's plunging top from the 2014 BMA red carpet. However, the dress looks even more similar to two past Balmain looks that were worn by Kim Kardashian and Kylie Jenner.

Last April, as Kardashian was shopping about Paris with Kanye West, she was wearing a black body con dress from Balmain's 2013 fall collection. Kardashian's dress was encrusted with pearls all over, which very much like the dress that ELLE revealed, had a fabulous criss-cut pattern created with pearls. I'm glad to see Olivier Rousteing bringing back that simple pattern in the collaboration with H&M.

As for the gold detailing on the latest Balmain x H&M dress, it looks really reminiscent of Kylie Jenner's BMA 2014 leather Balmain dress with gold stripes. Let's take a closer look, shall we?

See what I mean?! I love how Balmain's edgy-regal flare is incredibly evident in their collaboration with H&M and I can't wait for more reveals.
