Jussie Smollett Landed A Major Fashion Gig

by Marc Cuenco

His silky smooth vocals can only be matched by his great style, so it's no surprise that Jussie Smollett is the new face of Sean John clothing. Empire's breakout star will make his modeling debut for the label's Fall/Holiday 2015 ad campaign along with musician and Sean "Diddy" Combs' stepson Quincy Brown. Smollett's ad is part of the long-running brand's "Dream Big" concept, which will be released in September.

"Our fall campaign concept truly celebrates those young men who bring their dreams to fruition," Sean John President Jeff Tweedy said. "Jussie and Quincy are quintessential examples of the Sean John man and are true role models for our Dream Big concept.” In the first released image from his Sean John campaign, Smollett wears a tailored black suit with a gray turtleneck and matching black shoes. The talented actor, singer, and songwriter also holds a coat from the fall 2015 collection. The other ads from the "Dream Big" campaign will feature Sean John sportswear and accessories.

Smollett's Sean John ads will not only appear exclusively in the September issue of GQ, but can also be seen at Macy's stores, billboards, and social media channels nationwide. When it comes to style, the 32-year-old Empire star definitely has what it takes to star in a major fashion gig.

However, it seems the cast of Empire is quickly becoming television's most fashionable family. From the secrets of matriarch Cookie Lyons' couture style, to Caroline Herrera-designed pajamas, the stars of Fox's hit show are turning into fashion icons:
