Celebs Are Embracing The One-Piece's Comeback
Although summer is coming to a close, there are still a few more weeks left to grab your swimsuit and venture out to a beach. It seems like the ever-popular bikini, is finally being overthrown by a more classic option. That's right, one-pieces are making a comeback according to the New York Times, and even celebrities are hopping on the maillot bandwagon this summer.
A common misconception is that the one-piece is a somehow frumpier alternative to the bikini, but that's just so not true, especially these days. Though one-piece bathing suits can definitely be more conservative if that's your preference, there are plenty that boast cut outs, sheer paneling, low-cut backs, and other interesting details. The maillot can make just as much of a statement as an itty bitty bikini.
When it comes to choosing your next beach outfit, you should obviously opt for whatever makes you most comfortable. But there's something about a one-piece that gives every body type that awesome, retro look. Even celebrities are embracing the one-piece renaissance, ditching their bikinis for some sexy maillots instead.
