Jane Birkin's Granddaughter Is A Model Now

by Sienna Fantozzi

Having three of the world's top style icons in your family is kind of an insane amount of intimidating, but sometimes, it just runs in the family blood. According to Fashionista, Jane Birkin's granddaughter is starring in a fashion campaign, and from the looks of the ad, she's just as French-girl chic as her mom and grandma. Oh, and by the way — she's only 12!

Alice Attal, granddaughter of Jane Birkin and daughter of Charlotte Gainsbourg, is the latest celebrity teen to make her fashion debut, starring in French brand Comptoir des Cotonniers's 20th anniversary campaign, according to The Cut. Given that her aunt (Lou Doillon), grandmother, and mother have starred in plenty of big name campaigns themselves and influenced the closets of women around the world, there was kind of no doubt Attal would nail her modeling debut, and fronting a French brand's campaign just made it even more trés trés chic. But Alice isn't alone in the ad — as the brand has a tradition of shooting mother-daughter pairs, she appears alongside her famous mama. Aww...

Both ladies have the same chestnut colored hair (worn in the same undone style as Birkin rocked back in the '60s), and wear minimal (almost none on Alice) makeup in the ad, highlighting their natural beauty.

It's incredibly refreshing that, fronting an ad campaign or not, she actually looks age-appropriate. Kids should look like kids!

Here's a little reminder of her famous pedigree. I have a feeling she's destined for seriously great things in her modeling career.

Her mom always manages to look polished, while still maintaining her signature edge. And her hair is literally the definition of effortlessly cool.

Her aunt, Lou Doillon, can rock menswear like no other. But that doesn't mean she doesn't look fan-freaking-tastic in an LBD.

And then, of course, there's Jane.
