Cindy's Modeling Advice For Her Kids Is Gold

by Stephanie Chon

We may not always agree with our parents, but they definitely have their fair share of serious life knowledge to bestow upon us, and it's no different for celebrities. In an interview with Elle, Kaia and her brother Presley talked about the amazing modeling advice mom Cindy Crawford shared with her kids. Crawford's words of wisdom played a huge part in getting the two to feel comfortable in front of a camera. Kaia told Elle that the "best advice [my mom] has ever given me" was "to have a thought behind my eyes when I'm looking at the camera." So interesting, right?

Kaia also explained how she saw noticeable differences in her modeling game after taking her mother's advice. (Now, I feel like whenever I look at a model, I'm going to wonder what they were thinking about.)

You can see various photos of Kaia putting her mother's advice to work on Presley's photography Instagram account @kbyp. He really enjoys photography and so he posts photos of mostly Kaia, but we can even see his impressive modeling game on his personal Instagram, too.

While mama Crawford might be filled with unending modeling tips for her kids, she isn't the only one laying down priceless advice.

Here are three other celebrity parents who taught their model children a thing or two.

1. Gigi Hadid & Yolanda Foster

Yolanda Foster, mother of Gigi Hadid, taught her daughter some great life tips without even saying anything. It was one of those moments where you, as a parent, saw qualities that naturally rubbed off onto your child. Hadid told Refinery 29, "She drank a lot of water, and was always so into the purest forms of everything. So I’ve always been a really big fan of just putting the purest stuff in your body." So adorable.

2. Mick Jagger & Georgia May Jagger

Similarly, papa Mick Jagger told his daughter, Georgia May Jagger, some great body positive advice on the topics of aging. Georgia told Allure that her dad "taught me that the lines on your face and the the things that are wrong with you represent how much that you've lived and enjoyed life rather than what is bad about you. Neither of my parents buy into that plastic-surgery culture." Damn, that's deep.

3. Lisa Bonet & Zoe Kravitz

Can't forget Lisa Bonet's hair and beauty tips for her daughter, Zoe Kravitz. Kravitz told NYT that her mom introduced her to Wen products, which she said are great, "especially for African-American hair because it doesn’t strip it of all the oils." And she continued to share how her mom has always been there, "for good beauty advice. We’re both beauty fans. My friends are always laughing at her and me because we’re like witches with our potions and bottles and things."

As much as they love to embarrass us, parents love helping out too. It's so heartwarming to hear how these celebrities were molded by the love and knowledge from their moms and dads.
