Hilary Duff's Minion Backpack Is Pretty Cute

IRL Lizzie Mcguire definitely likes to have fun, and when it comes to fashion, she definitely doesn't take herself too seriously. In the past she's dyed her hair blue, rocked red, sparkly sneakers a la Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz, and often makes some bold lip color choices. But Saturday morning, Hilary Duff wore a Minion backpack while at the airport, taking a slightly different fashion risk when and sharing a picture of the ensemble on Instagram, captioning it "the new Balenciaga."

Although Minions have become pretty popular these days, I'm not super convinced that they will ever be as respected in the fashion world as Balenciaga ... but I could be wrong. Anyway, odds are that Duff's backpack actually belongs to her 3-year-old son Luca, who was spotted carrying a Minions lunchbox around Los Angeles the other day, but I like that she totally owned the fact that she was carrying it. And hey — it actually looks pretty cute with her floppy hat, grey tank, and the flannel she has tied around her waist!

Grunge meets Minions? I like where this is going.
