This star's style isn't exactly cookie cutter, and that's putting it mildly. Frankie Grande's 2015 VMA red carpet look featured his now signature wild mane, a glittering gold chest that he proudly displayed, and for good measure, he through in a pair of silver metallic shorts. He certainly didn't let us down and held true to his signature extravagance tonight. While his style may not be what you'd expect to see in the every day, you've to hand it to him — the man knows how to show up and make a statement.
This isn't the first time that Grande has sported some seriously edgy, and slightly questionable, fashion. Back in 2014, the Big Brother star rocked body paint to the American Music Awards. It's hard to forget Grande showing off his killer abs under white pant designed to resemble a button up shirt and bowtie. Even way back when he was gracing the silver screen as a member of the Big Brother cast he was experimenting with looks, from his hair to his wardrobe. Arguably, his hair has been his biggest transformation since coming into the spotlight with sister Ariana. Their style connection can't be denied, but tonight, Frankie seemed to branch out on his own once more and give the MTV audiences a shocking addition to the carpet while rocking a white and silver short suit and glittering chest.
It's hard not to get a Rocky Horror vibe from Grande's look with his blond locks and golden chest. It's the short suit that's really getting the attention though. Grande isn't one for shying away from showing off his body, and he's definitely giving us some serious gams tonight.
Plus, he's changed up that signature platinum 'do to include a little dash of the rainbow trend. You've got to hand it to him — he knows how to take a fashion risk.
This look might not be everyone's cup of tea, but you can't deny that he's killin' it.
