Rebel Wilson's VMAs T Makes A Bold Statement

by Erin Mayer

Well folks, tonight has officially gotten interesting. Rebel Wilson wore a "F*ck Tha Stripper Police" t-shirt at the 2015 MTV VMAs and it totally wasn't censored. Given that this is live television and all, that's a pretty big deal! It's also a big deal because Wilson is a super body positive icon and she rocked the tee wearing little besides black panties, a police hat, and dark sunglasses.

This is quite the departure from what the comedian wore to walk the red carpet just a few moments before she hit the stage. Wilson sported a black, pink, and silver dress with an asymmetrical skirt and peplum detail by the plus-size brand Eloquii tonight, and the wildest part of her look definitely had to be the pink streaks in her blonde hair. That all changed when she stepped up to present the award for Best Hip-Hop Video, which went to Nicki Minaj. Initially wearing a police uniform, Wilson then stripped down to reveal the provocative tee.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, she "began by saying that 'a lot of people have problems with the police,' suggesting that she was going to say something about police brutality and recent, controversial police-involved killings. But instead she went on a humorous rant about disappointing police strippers."

Wow, that is one heck of a statement! I could take or leave the profanity, but I love her body positive confidence.
