When Will McDonald's Serve All-Day Breakfast?

It's the one question you've probably been asking yourself since you were old enough to know what a McMuffin even was — when will McDonald's serve all-day breakfast? I have good news for you, my friends. The fast food chain has confirmed that McDonald's all-day breakfast will start Oct. 6. And no, this is not some sort of September Fool's Day joke (yes, that's a holiday I just made up). Your begging and pleading on Sunday afternoons has finally made its way to the ears of the franchise executives.

McMuffin-heads that patronize some 14,300 McDonald's franchises will soon be able to order McDonald's breakfast at any old hour of the day. And for those of you looking at your calendars, Oct. 6 is a Tuesday, so you might want to go ahead and arrange your lunch dates now.

There are, of course, some notable exceptions to the all-day availability. According to Lisa McComb, McDonald's Director of Media Relations, the McDonald's all-day breakfast menu will not initially include fan favorites such as the Egg White Delight, or the McGriddle. McComb also noted that additions and eliminations will be made based on local preferences, so definitely ask if they don't have your favorite item.

Still, if you're craving a sausage and egg biscuit, or a plate of hotcakes after 10:30 a.m., the world is your oyster. The all-day breakfast menu isn't that much different than the current breakfast menu you've come to know and love. What are the most exciting takeaways from this major menu update?
