The Most Intriguing Person of the Year

I know you're probably a bit sick of reading about all the awards Jennifer Lawrence is receiving, but here's another one because J. Law is just that awesome: According to JustJared, Jennifer Lawrence topped People 's most intriguing people of 2013 list, along with Angelina Jolie, the royal baby, Kate Middleton, Prince William, and, naturally, Pope Francis.

It's J.Law who takes center stage on the magazine's cover, though — and after what she said recently about stricter regulation for fat-shaming and bullying on television, because "If we’re regulating cigarettes and sex and cuss words because of the effect it has on our younger generation, why aren’t we regulating things like calling people fat?", it's safe to say J.Law deserves the honor.

According to People, the mag chose her because "she's the star who we wanted to be pals with all year long, starting with her charming topple up to the stage to accept her Best Actress Oscar for her role in Silver Linings Playbook to the sassy new haircut she debuted while promoting The Hunger Games: Catching Fire in November...who wouldn't love the 23-year-old who had the nerve to photobomb Sarah Jessica Parker at the Met Gala, while donning Dior and a netted headpiece?" Also: fair enough.

The full list of 2013's most intriguing people will appear in People's upcoming Year-End issue, which will be out on Friday.
