Kendall Returns To Givenchy's NYFW Show

by Marc Cuenco

The energy at Givenchy was palpable, and it wasn't just from the line of people outside Pier 26 who were lucky enough to score a ticket to the iconic brand's first New York Fashion Week show. Amidst the A-list crowd in attendance, Kendall Jenner walked the Givenchy S/S 2016 show and cemented her status as one of the most sought-after models working today.

With a breathtaking view of One World Trade Center in the background, Jenner was one of the first models to appear on the wooden runway. She wore a sleeveless white top that tied in the back and black pants. Even though it was rumored that Caitlyn Jenner will be at the Givenchy show, Kendall's appearance marked another milestone for her successful modeling career.

While guests such as Julia Roberts, Nicki Minaj, Ciara, and Jenner's sister Kim Kardashian and Kanye West sat on wooden crates at the industrial-themed set (made of recycled materials and debris), music from various cultures and religions played as the models walked in the stunning collection. Givenchy designer Riccardo Tisci described the Sept. 11 show as a love letter to NYC and he did just that by putting on a solemn yet powerful show.

This was Jenner's third time walking for Givenchy ever since she made her runway debut for the label's fall 2014 collection. As a member of Tisci's fashion gang, this certainly won't be the last time we'll see her represent the brand.
