Madeline Stuart Slays On NYFW Runway

by Kali Borovic

Joining the ranks of mega-models such as Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid, Madeline Stuart walked New York Fashion Week with confidence like a total pro. The 18-year-old model hit the runway on Sunday with FTL MODA and looked absolutely stunning in her two looks. She began her modeling career less than a year ago, but it already looks like this young woman is off to a great start.

Following in the footsteps of America Horror Story's Jamie Brewer, who walked in designer Carrie Hammer's show last season, Stuart made her fashion week debut modeling Hendrik Vermeulen's Spring 2016 collection wearing glittery blue face paint and gorgeous outfits. Stuart has her model strut down perfectly, and she definitely looked excited to be on the catwalk in photos from the presentation.

Her first look was a long white gown with metallic overlay and tons of texture. She strutted her stuff in a pair of platform sandals. Stuart's second look was a red tank top with a fish printed on it and a pair of shorts. She walked out with two shirtless men who were painted completely blue with jellyfish on their chests to really convey the aquatic theme.

This isn't Stuart's first modeling rodeo. She is the international face of everMaya, the luxury handbag line, and the face of athletic wear company Manifesta.

According to Stuart's website, the Australian-born model "wants to change the way people discriminate against disability [by] gaining attention from social media," and it looks like that's exactly what she's doing. With the model-worthy walk and her ever-growing fashion resumé, there's no telling where her modeling career will take her.

Stuart posted pictures on her Instagram throughout the week, sharing images of her hailing a taxi and behind-the-scenes shots of her getting runway ready in hair and makeup. The model also did the final walk with the designers at the show.

From the looks of it, Stuart has everything that it takes to succeed in the industry. I can't wait to see what she'll do next!
