Wear These Pink Pieces In The Fall

by Melodi Erdogan

NYFW is coming to a close by one designer's collection is still on my mind. Carolina Herrera S/S 2016 was beyond stunning, with models floating down the runway in beautiful sheer gowns, feathered skirts, and more done up almost completely in rose-toned, pastel, and baby pink hues. The pink vibes Herrera delivered during her presentation are covetable, and let's be real: who really wants to wait until spring to wear them? Certainly not me, myself, or I.

Models Lily Aldridge, Martha Hunt, and Romee Strijd, among others, donned white, pink, and, well, more pink. Most of the pieces were in these shades, with some black and navy touches scattered throughout. Considering the designer's past collections, I would have expected a lot more color — and more shift dresses, which she's known for, but, alas, she went in a different direction the spring collection. And in my opinion, it works, and it works well. These designs are pretty, elegant, and timeless.

While these pieces are perfectly fitting for a vacation right after the first bloom, or a spring picnic on a newly invigorated lush green field, spring is nearly six months away. And when it comes to fashion, most of us are impatient.

This white midi dress on Aldridge is perfection. Look at that sheer lining connection what looks like cut outs of fabric. It's so chic!

And this feathered co-ord. I think I could live in that.

And this navy gown? While it's one of few non-pink pieces in the collection, it is still stunning.

Although the collection is for spring, we can definitely take some sartorial direction from it as we move into fall.

Maybe I'm just a crazy style nut, but I promise you there are beautiful pink, rosy-hued pieces that will work perfectly into your cool weather wardrobe. Below are 11 different pieces that do exactly that.
