As a Downton Abbey fan, I pretty much cry at any mention of the show or cast at this point due to the fact that the series is about to enter its final season. Even though I'm a little bitter about the whole thing, it's hard to deny that the Downton Abbey cast at the 2015 Emmy Awards was a beautiful, beautiful sight. One of the best parts of Downton Abbey as a show is the breathtaking costumes and fabulousness of it all. The sets, the depth of the characters, the details of the costumes — it's hard not to get sucked in after an episode or two. This explains why it was nominated, yet again, for Outstanding Drama Series.
With two of the shows cast members also nominated for awards (Joanne Froggatt for best supporting actress and Jim Carter for best supporting actor), it goes without saying that some of the series' stars showed up on the red carpet looking nothing less than stunning. With Froggatt wearing a J Mendel dress and Jimmy Choo shoes, I wouldn't be surprised if more than one cast members ends up on a best dressed list or two.
