This Is How Long Jessica Alba's Makeup Routine Is

by Alexa Tucker

With her status as one of the most gorgeous women on the planet, you would think that Jessica Alba's makeup routine would require a certain amount of time and effort. But you would be wrong, apparently. In a video for Self, Alba revealed that her morning beauty steps only take her — gasp! — five to ten minutes.

Granted, Alba probably keeps her golden skin in tip-top shape by eating well, drinking lots of water and taking overall ah-mazing care of it, but five to ten minutes is still kind of mind blowing. Then again, Alba has to be one of the busiest ladies in Hollywood — between being an actress, entrepreneur, mom, and wife, it makes sense that she'd want her routine to be as low-maintenance as possible.

So, what products make the cut? She sticks with primer, tinted moisturizer, concealer, eyebrow pencil, bronzer, cream blush, an eyelash curler, mascara, and "some type of lip," according to Self. OK, that sounds like a lot longer than five to ten minutes to me, but then again, she's kind of, like, superwoman, and I'm kind of, like, easily distracted.

Another major contributor to her glow, though? Working out. "Being healthy and strong helps me feel confident and beautiful," she tells Self. She even wakes up at 5:15 for hot yoga some days — now that's dedication.

Alba's been known for her killer bod, and even though she admits she doesn't exactly enjoy working out, she likes how she feels afterward. "I have to break a sweat or I don’t feel like I’ve gotten anything done," she said in Shape's June issue, according to Hollywood Life.

See for yourself what she has to say about her wakeup call, daily sweat sesh, and, yes, makeup go-to's during her morning routine:

Looking to recreate her fresh, natural look? Here are a few products from her brand's newly launched cosmetics line, Honest Beauty, that we're willing to bet she uses.

Magic Balm

Alba says this is "something she uses daily that [she] can't live without." According to the site, it's used to "soften and soothe" skin.

Concealer Duo

Another one of her go-to's is the brand's Concealer Duo — there are five sets of two shades each to make sure you get the perfect customized color for your skin tone.

Luminizing Powder

I'm thinking this is what she uses as her bronzer in the video — or, stick with a tone closer to your skin and use it as a regular powder foundation.

Brow Filler

Alba's look just isn't complete without her natural, full, well-groomed brows. This pencil has a spoolie brush at the end to help distribute color.
