Fall Makeup Tutorials To Watch Now

by Julia Guerra

Remember that time I told you summer was around the corner? Well, we’ve officially rounded that corner and are emerging into the season of leaves changing, wardrobes rearranging, and intense plum lipstick. Fall beauty tutorials on YouTube are coming out the wood work, and I’ve never been so giddy.

It doesn’t take a makeup expert to acknowledge that each season has its stereotypical beauty looks as well as signature closet staples. Thank goodness for the beauty vloggers out there defying all logic that there are only so many ways to rock a berry lip and neutral eye. Beauty gurus are a seasonal reminder that makeup, like clothing, is never a case of one style fits all.

If you’re heart now resembles the scattered pieces of a broken vase now that summer has taken its leave, I sympathize (sort of, not really), but I encourage you to remember all the good times the scorching hot months brought you this year and embrace the fall season with open arms. In all seriousness, just watch Jaclyn Hill’s “Cat Eye & Vampy Lip Fall Makeup” tutorial one time through, and you’re guaranteed to be feeling all the autumn feels.

Hill points out that "even though the trends always change, they still kind of stay the same." However, it's all about the artist's take on the trend, and that is where your personal style comes in.

Check out below nine of the best fall makeup tutorials thus far this season and get inspired to put your spin on this season's signature styles.

1. Jaclyn Hill

No surprise here that Champagne Pop creator and MUA Hill would provide us with the autumnal beauty aesthetics. Bonus? Well, as you can see from the title, its an affordable look with products that will last you throughout the entire season, and most likely beyond.

2. Manny MUA

I have so much admiration for Manny and all of his tutorials. They are so original and he's constantly thinking outside the box. Here he gives us a tutorial on how to master an olive green smokey eye. It's almost instinctual to associate fall with shades of red, brown, orange, and green is put on the back burner.

3. Ingrid Nilsen

Nilsen's beauty techniques are extremely easy to pick up. Her videos are slow enough to really get a feel for her process step by step, and the end result is usually an at-all-times wearable option. This particular video is formatted as a "get ready with me" instructional clip, but even though Nilsen wears this look to an event for Covergirl, I'm thinking it would pass for daytime wear as well.

4. Sona Gasparian

With new seasons come new makeup palettes, and that's fantastic as long as you know how to use them to your advantage! Gasparian has us covered in this video, providing us with a stunning violet smokey eye technique using Urban Decay's Vice 4 palette.

5. Dulce Candy

OK so you've got your beauty routine down pact. That's excellent, I applaud you, but there is always, always, always room for improvement! Dulce Candy gives you a few tips and tricks on how to polish your routine by paying close attention to detail for the ultimate end result.

6. Ellaire

This young woman has a fierceness to her makeup. She has an intensity that is alluring and her bold looks are worth the time and effort to master. I adore cranberry for fall and this vamped up beauty look is sure to make a statement.

7. Nicole Guerriero

Guerriero publishes makeup tutorials inspired by celebs. This fabulous fall look is based off of Miss Kylie Jenner and really embodies the autumnal vibe with warm, almost bonfire-esque tones, a style I'd like to see more of applied to fall beauty looks.

8. Carli Bybel

To celebrate the Carli Bybel x BH eyeshadow palette now re-available, the MUA took to her Instagram page to show us how to get a dramatic fall look by using her own cosmetic creation.

9. Kaushal Beauty

Who doesn't want to channel their inner Shay Mitchell, and what better time to get that much closer to Emily Fields than wearing a makeup look inspired by the actress whose hit show liar fans have to wait another three months for? Loving this tutorial by Kaushal Beauty based on Mitchell's Streamy Awards look.
