Hiddleston Vs. Cumberbatch Dance Off: Round One

by Alanna Bennett

There is something powerful about beloved Brits. They tend to be lankier than the bulky hunks we grow in America, and waaay more into Shakespeare, and we just get really excited when they depart from the poshness of their Eton educations for a moment to dance for us. Vulture just posted this brilliant compilation dance-off of Tom Hiddleston and Benedict Cumberbatch is essentially a mash-up of several events the Internet orgasmed over when they first occurred, and it's amazing.

Alas, this video does not actually put Hiddleston and Cumberbatch into the same room to dance against/on each other because the world is not so kind. Plus, I'm pretty sure there's someone out there whose only job it is to regulate these sorts of activities so some sort of universe-destroying chasm doesn't open up in the middle of Tumblr and destroy us all.

Still, behold. The video features several wonderfully dorky British displays of dancing, including Hiddleston dancing, well, everywhere on his recent Thor 2 press tour, and Cumberbatch dancing at a wedding a few years back, as well as wiggling through some interviews.

The accompanying music contains the lyrics "I'm sexy and I know it" and "girl look at that body." Rest assured that, in regards to the former: They do, and in regards to the latter: Oh, we are. We most definitely are.

This has been your daily dose of British objectification.
