Victoria Beckham Hints At A Budget-Friendly Line

Following in the footsteps of Topshop, Target, and H&M designer collaborations, Victoria Beckham is planning on creating a more affordable fashion range for women who can't spend money on designer duds, according to Image.com. After debuting her SS16 collection at New York Fashion Week, the sartorial world has been noticing a shift in Beckham's aesthetic eye. First of all, her outfits were paired with sneakers. That alone can floor a person, especially when coming from the queen of high heels. Then, breaking away from her favored bodycon silhouettes, she opted for loose culottes, boxy pleats, and fluid shapes. While she's shocking the runway (in a good way) with her uncharacteristic style, Beckham is also keeping the momentum going by announcing a more affordable line.

According to Daily Mirror, Beckham revealed, "I’d like to create gorgeous clothes for women who can’t afford to pay designer prices." Staying in tune with the fact that wallet conscious women aim to look stylish too, she's hoping to spread the love of her fabulous collection. She then added, “I want to make women feel sexy, whatever their budget is."

Amen to that. Considering she has pieces in her luxury collection that run up to $18,000, it can probably go unsaid that I'm rather excited to see some more affordable options.

While the 41-year-old designer hasn't announced when this more affordable line will debut, here are some star outfits from her just-debuted SS16 collection. Here's hoping these pieces lend some inspiration for the budget-friendly collection.

You'd never dream Victoria Beckham — resident queen of high heels — would suggest you should pair your evening wear with sneakers, but here we are. And it looks fabulous.

4. Culottes In Eye Catching Colors

A comfy shape and it comes in jewel, eye-catching tones? Here's hoping the affordable line keeps these pointers in mind.

5. Peekaboo Slits

Are you a fan of patterns who feels overwhelmed when they're splashed down your dress? A peekaboo slit will offer you just a tease of gingham while keeping the rest of the look quiet and neutral.

6. A Touch Of Sporty

I'm not going to add in a Sporty Spice pun here (even though I really, really want to) but Beckham seems to agree with the idea that giving a tailored, classic piece a sporty detail adds for a fun accent.

7. Flippy, Flirty Dresses

What's easier than having a loose, flirty dress to pop over you head and look instantly fabulous in? It's comfy, it's stylish, it's a no-brainer, and a total win: Precisely what her affordable line is sure to be.
