Bobby Brown Claims Nick Gordon "Harmed" Bobbi

The tragic and saddening situation surrounding Bobbi Kristina Brown's death continues to get even more complicated. On Monday, Us Weekly revealed that Bobby Brown claims Nick Gordon harmed his daughter and took part in her death. The singer claimed in a statement via his lawyer: "In regards to the civil litigation, we believe we know who harmed Bobbi Kristina Brown and his name is Nick Gordon." Bustle reached out to Gordon’s lawyers, who declined to comment at the time of publication.

The statement continues,

Mr. Gordon made headlines when he filed his Motion to Dismiss the lawsuit pending in Superior Court that seeks to hold him responsible for 40 Million Dollars in damages. However, the Motion was frivolous and instead of having it heard by the Court, he has chosen to withdraw the Motion, ending that matter so that he could avoid having to give his deposition which was scheduled for the day he withdrew the Motion. Mr. Gordon will now have to give his deposition under oath.

The motion mentioned refers to the lawsuit filed by Gordon to dismiss the wrongful death lawsuit brought against him by Bobbi Kristina's co-conservator Bedelia Hargrove. "I am not shocked at the withdrawal, as we must keep in mind that Gordon filed a lawsuit to remove Bobby Brown as Bobbi Kristina’s guardian, only to withdraw that lawsuit in DeKalb County Probate Court once he was served with a deposition notice," the singer's lawyer claimed. "He could have pressed forward with that lawsuit and told us under oath what he believed happened to Bobbi Kristina, but he chose to go in another direction."

In September, Gordon filed to dismiss the wrongful death charges filed by Bobbi Kristina's estate, which claimed that Gordon abused Bobbi Kristina and "gave Bobbi Kristina a toxic cocktail rendering her unconscious and then put her face down in a tub of cold water causing her to suffer brain damage." Part of Gordon's motion read, according to ABC News, "[The original lawsuit] contains several unsupported conclusory, untrue, criminal accusations that Defendant Nicholas Gordon committed acts that he simply did not do."

As for Bobby Brown, he said in his most recent statement, "I look forward to having the Court hear the evidence in the civil lawsuit and hopefully the criminal action very soon."
