Nina Dobrev's Clutch Is Too Cute

by Rosie Narasaki

There's nothing that makes more of a splash on the red carpet than a quirky accessory. True to (sartorially gifted) form, Nina Dobrev wore Versace on the New York Film Festival red carpet and looked amazing. While the dress in question fit her like a glove, and was, of course, styled to absolute perfection, it was her handbag that really caught my eye. The high-necked gown featured an ultra chic thigh-high leg slit as well as an scarlet panel running down the side of the bodice. But the best part of the entire look was her quirky rose-printed Charlotte Olympia clear acetate box clutch (which is currently on sale for $629, if you happen to have the funds).

Paired with accessories like low-key black sandals; some truly excellent, loosely-waved hair; and a perfectly matched red lip, the clutch stood out in the outfit as a fun-loving note in the otherwise understated outfit.

This triumph of a Versace ensemble happens to be the latest in a long line of fabulous looks — most recently, she stunned in Lela Rose at a Go90 event in Los Angeles, and she also rather memorably wore hot pink Elie Saab at the 2013 Screen Actors Guild Awards. So, with all that in mind — let's take a look at her New York Film Festival look, complete with flowery clutch.

And if you're interested in snagging the glorious bag, it couldn't be easier (although, like I said, it's not exactly cheap).

But why spend all that money if you can get some just as quirky for a bit cheaper, am I right?

Flowers? Maybe not. But quirky, cute, and affordable? Absolutely.

And if red is what you're after, look no further than this fabulous option.

Luckily for us, it looks like Ms. Dobrev has a lot coming down the pipeline — so we can expect a lot more covet-worthy red carpet moments in coming months. After all, The Vampire Diaries is set to premiere its 7th season on The CW this week — and she's got a horror movie ( The Final Girls) premiering on Friday.
