Couple Invites Wedding Crashers To Their Wedding

by Kat George

Weddings are generally a personal affair, but not for this couple encouraging wedding crashers to attend their wedding. Last week we reported that a woman was charging her guests for not turning up to her wedding, and now we're reporting a couple that wants anyone and everyone to attend their wedding, RSVP not necessary. The couple, Paul Johnson and Shelly Osterhout of Fort Myers, Florida, are actively and gleefully encouraging people to crash their wedding. While the couple will be married in a private ceremony, afterwards they plan to throw a Wedding Crashers (yes, the movie starring Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn that you undoubtedly saw and probably questioned the morality of) themed reception, at which anyone is welcome.

The couple met on Plenty of Fish in a serendipitous turn of events that led to them falling quickly, and passionately in love. Wanting to share that love with the world, they're expecting around 1,600 to turn up to their wedding on October 10 (from 8 to 10 P.M. at the Bell Tower Shops in Fort Myers, if you're free that day and in the area). The wedding, unfortunately (but fortunately for the bride and groom), will not be open bar, but there will be a cash bar for guests to purchase drinks. There will, however, be free glow sticks, which I wouldn't turn down. While it's a great and joyful idea, I can't help thinking about some of the people who might turn up, that would make for awkward wedding guests. For instance:

1. A Jealous Ex

2. Drunk And Disorderly Frat Bros

3. Someone Dressed As A Creepy Clown

4. Your Boss Who You Called In Sick To That Day

5. Donald Trump

I mean, I don't know his life.

But seriously though, all the best to Paul and Shelly and their massive wedding party!
