17 Fall Breakfasts To Start Off Your Day Right

by Rebecca Deczynski

When temperatures drop, the only thing that can seem to get me out of my quilt-topped, pillowy bed in the morning is the promise of a tasty fall breakfast. Well, that, and also maybe a classic pumpkin spice latte, or some other autumnal coffee drink. With a winning combination of caffeine and some sort of seasonal breakfast, making the most of each crisp autumn day gets a whole lot more likely.

While we love autumn for many different reasons, from Halloween to sweater weather, the thing that justifies its ranking in our hearts as the best season ever is its abundance of delicious in-season produce. During the summer months, the farmer's market is a fun place to go, but once the leaves change color, the harvest is in full effect, and we can really stock up on our fall favorites, from pumpkins and sweet potatoes to squash and apples. Autumnal food has a cozy allure to it, and that’s why we can never get enough.

So in addition to making plentiful batches of autumn soup and pumpkin desserts, be sure to kick off your day with some seasonal goodness as well. Whether you prefer savory or sweet, these 17 autumn breakfasts will make every morning a delight.
