Hilary Rhoda Wore A Non Traditional Wedding Gown

by Eliza Florendo

Man, Hilary Rhoda has got it good — She's all over the pages of Vogue, has walked the runways of Victoria's Secret, and has starred in advertisements for Valentino, Givenchy, and Dolce & Gabbana. Now, she can add style icon to her long list of accomplishments, because Hilary Rhoda's wedding gown was a gorgeous, non-traditional dress that every modern bride will love.

Rhoda got hitched to her fiancé, a former New York Rangers hockey player Sean Avery at the Parrish Art Museum in Water Mill, New York this past Saturday. According to People, the couple announced their engagement just a little under two years ago.

Rhoda wore a Carolina Herrera dress that I'll probably dream about for ages. While it was primarily white, it a pop of green detailing. The column-style gown featured a black embroidered neckline, and green detailing in a deep V. Rhoda paired it with Chopard earrings — 14.7 carats of diamonds, to be exact, according to People. And man, did those earrings shine. Rhoda is actually the face of Chopard's "Imperiale" campaign, so it only makes sense that she was dripping in jewels.

I always love a non-traditional gown, and this one was just about as chic as they can get. The effortless shape was simply beautiful, and the deep V added just enough sexiness to the otherwise extremely elegant gown. The green trimming was also a fun addition that kept the dress from looking too formal. Seems fitting for their big day, as Rhoda told People, "We are excited to plan the most beautiful and fun wedding that we could ever imagine."

And as if her wedding dress wasn't beautiful enough, she topped off her whole look with a floor-grazing veil. Of course, we wouldn't expect anything less than a gorgeous gown from Rhoda, who's impeccable style I absolutely adore. I'm talking feathered tops, off-the-shoulder gowns, and chic separates. Hopefully, she'll start posting photos of her honeymoon looks, too!
