Many Famous Faces Are Celebrating #SpiritDay

If you're seeing a lot of purple at work or across social media, it's for good reason. Thursday is GLAAD's Spirit Day, a very important day for anyone and everyone standing up against bullying. As GLAAD's official website states, Oct. 15 is a day where individuals across the nation unite and and "stand against bullying to show their support for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) youth." It first started in 2010 and ever since then schools, organizations, companies, and also celebrities take part in Spirit Day.

The color purple is quite significant, as it symbolizes "spirit" on the rainbow flag used for LGBT awareness. So, if you see someone wearing purple or notice that someone's Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, or Snapchat profile is now purple that means they're backing an extremely worthy cause. No one should be bullied for who they are and thankfully GLAAD is trying to change that.

As you can see below, many famous faces are celebrating #SpiritDay by letting their voices be heard through social media. From Caitlyn Jenner to Ellen DeGeneres to several Pretty Little Liars actresses to some Real Housewives of Beverly Hills stars a slew of celebrities are joining GLAAD in hopes of impacting LGBT youth and stopping bullying for good.
