This Dior Wedding Dress Took How Long To Make?!

Dior is one those houses that is basically good at everything. Whether it's their beautiful red carpet gowns, incredible ready-to-wear looks, or their amazing beauty and cosmetic products, Dior is basically perfection, and so is their latest custom creation. Chinese actress Angelababy's custom Dior wedding gown took five months to create, and the wait was clearly and totally worth it.

If the dress is any indication, the wedding was probably spectacular. According to Who What Wear, the rumor is that the affair cost around $43 million. DramaFever has details about the incredible event which was held at the Shanghai Exhibition Center. Images over at the site show just how splendid the center is, and while I have no details on the breakdown of costs, it's not difficult to discover how the nuptial costs could rack up quickly.

The average cost of a wedding in the United States for 2014 was a whopping $31,213 which looks totally paltry in comparison. While the numbers aren't clear, People tallied up some of the costs of the Kimye wedding, and I'm not a mathematician, but I'd assume they may be around the same if that gives you any indication of the extravagance of the event. Angelababy's dress obviously had to compete with the venue, and it clearly held it's gorgeous Dior own.

According to Dior's Instagram account, the gorgeous full-skirted dress took, "two fittings and nearly five months of meticulous work." With it's beautiful lace sleeves and delicate buttons, it's not difficult to see why construction would be an arduous process.

The lace detailing of the skirt and bodice are truly breathtaking and can be seen in the original sketch for the dress.

In another photo posted to Dior's Instagram account, a black and white image of the multitude of buttons running down the back. The layers of boning in the bodice can also been seen in the layers of the gown.

Without a doubt, the wedding dress is absolutely spectacular, but it's not the first custom dress design from the famous house, of course.
