Little Mix's New Song Tells Us To Get Weird

It's time to bust out your best moves: Little Mix's new song, "Weird People," is going to make you boogey. The funky '80s-influenced track is our latest taste of Little Mix's upcoming new album, Get Weird (due out Nov. 6), and if you ask me, it's another home run. If "Black Magic," "Hair," and "Love Me Like You" somehow weren't enough to turn you into full-fledged fan of the U.K. pop group, "Weird People" should do the trick. The Little Mix "Weird People" lyrics celebrate the unique joy that comes from cuttin' loose and gettin' weird on the dance floor.

On the tune's first verse, members Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Perrie Edwards sing: "When I was just a little kid, I was sitting on the garden wall (Oh, get off the wall) / Well, I must've bumped my head, 'cause I don't dance the same no more (Oh, fell off the wall) / And now I step out of the crowd and I party on the other side (Oh, the other side) / And ain't no uptown sucker gonna tell me how to live my life (I'm living my life)." On the pre-chorus, members Jade Thirlwall and Jesy Nelson join in to declare: "We're gonna get weird all night / I said now let's get weird all night."

When the dance floor is packed and everybody's gettin' down, no one's worried about being judged. The only thing people are worried about is having a good time! It's a beautiful thing. In other words, it's totally OK to look/feel/be a little weird sometimes. Check out "Weird People" below.

"Weird People" is hardly the first pop song to be written about dancing all night long, but it has a unique retro sound and an infectious energy that make it stand out. There's no doubt about it, the four women of Little Mix are releasing some of the best pop tunes in the industry right now. I can't wait to get my hands on their new LP next month.
