Kim Kardashian's Halloween Costume Are On-Point

by Kali Borovic

As Mean Girls taught us, Halloween is a time for taking serious style risks. Kim Kardashian's Halloween costumes from over the years are proof of that. Although she's not quite Heidi Klum level, she's got the time and money to commit to a whole lot of flawless costumes that don't even begin to compare to what the average woman wears on Oct 31.

I went to college at Ohio University, which means that every year I tried to perfect a costume for the festivities that took place on Court Street. I have always taken pride in my Halloween outfits, but after seeing Kardashian all dressed up a few times, I realized that I don't even compare. The two of us have had a lot of crossover between costumes, but hers are naturally a lot more polished than my college budget allowed me to get. Time to step up my game in 2015!

There's no denying that she's looked absolutely fabulous no matter what she's dressed as, and as the years go on, she only gets better at putting together her All Hallow's Eve costumes. Kardashian has gone as everything from Wonder Woman to a princess to a skeleton. The woman goes all-out with her creations, and I applaud her for that. I'm willing to admit that most of her Halloween looks are better than mine, but I'm not going to give up in all costume categories. Shall we compare?

1. Kardashian's Mermaid Costume

Kardashian channelled Ariel for her most costume. With long blond hair and a gorgeous scale-like skirt, she really went all out.

Her layered seashell necklaces and shiny eyeshadow complete the costume. Look at that bustier!

My Princess Costume

Sure, I could've got the mermaid route, but that's way too predictable. Instead, I opted to go as a Toddlers and Tiaras pageant participant. The costume worked with my height and I got to wear a crown all night.

2. Kardashian's Flapper

The Great Gatsby inspired us all to try out the flapper look, and Kardashian was no different. From her curly faux bob to her on-point makeup, she sure knew how to pull off the iconic style.

My Flapper

I should've taken some tips from Kardashian and gone with the feather to the side and multiple strands of pearls, but all in all our looks were pretty similar.

Although I did opt for the bold eye and cheeks, my costume could have used a touch of that red lipstick.

3. Kardashian's Wonder Woman

Kardashian looked flawless as the superhero. This is exactly what everyone pictures when they consider going as Wonder Woman.

My Wonder Woman

I also opted for a Wonder Woman costume one year. I made my entire outfit, which I would imagine Kim K did not. I had a lot of fun doing it, but I certainly didn't look as polished as the reality star.

However, Kardashian was missing this awesome homemade jacket to keep her warm. Not exactly sexy, but I've always been one to keep things practical.

She kept this one simple and to the point. She looked great in the classic red and white outfit and was really rocking the cape.

Her smokey eye was also fabulous.

My Queen Of Hearts

This was another DIY year for me, but I think it came out pretty well. With a homemade tutu and two makeshift cards, this was one of my favorite costumes ever.

I was especially proud of the accessories I made. My card collar and sparkly crown had me scoring more points than Kardashian in the creativity department.

Call this one how you will, but I'm not too ashamed of my past Halloween costumes. I can't wait to see how her costume this year compares to mine, too!
