Carey Mulligan's Recent Red Carpet Wins

by Rosie Narasaki

She has always been one of those actors with the ability to take your breath away, both on and off screen — especially when it comes to wardrobe. Carey Mulligan has worn some of the best period costumes, and her red carpet game is similarly superlative. I don't know about you, but I'm still not over the pale pink Dior she wore to Cannes back in 2013. At any rate, Ms. Mulligan's most recent fashion moments have been (if possible) even more fabulous than usual. She started her latest winning streak with a charmingly eccentric Marni ensemble, which she quickly followed up with a drop-dead-gorgeous tulle number from Chanel.

Next, she stunned in a retro, bowed-bodice LBD, and now? Well, for starters she just had one of the best looks of the night at the ELLE Women in Hollywood Awards, and she completely wowed at the Los Angeles premiere of Suffragette .

For the ELLE Women in Hollywood Awards, she went for a kitschy (yet impeccably tailored) powder blue suit from Marc Jacobs (the look was such a success that Fashionista half-joked that it would be the perfect inauguration number for Hillary Clinton). Then, at the LA premiere of her new film, she pulled out all the stops in a floaty, romantic halter-necked number from Oscar de la Renta's spring collection. Let's take a look!

Kind of epic, right? And totally different from what we usually see from Ms. Mulligan. Also, this happened:

This lace number is the very picture of ethereal perfection, and it looks absolutely killer with a dramatic red lip. Oh, and did you catch a glimpse of her earrings?

Next level gorgeous.
