Get Ready For Black Milk Clothing x Doctor Who!

by Rosie Narasaki

Hold the phone: Black Milk Clothing is officially teaming up with BBC Worldwide to bring us the pop culture/fashion collaboration of our dreams! Yep, Black Milk Clothing will be releasing a Doctor Who -themed collection this November — now is that, or is that not the best news you've heard all week? Black Milk Clothing is an Australia-based clothing company known for their kickass leggings... and pop culture-friendly capsule collections (over the past year, they've done collaborations with everything from Game of Thrones to your favorite Disney Princesses).

Their newest collection promises to impress — it will feature no less than 45 pieces inspired by your favorite (and least favorite) aliens, with skirts, tops, dresses, leggings, and sweatshirts emblazoned with Cybermen, Daleks, the TARDIS, and of course, the Doctor himself (and the various outfits he's become famous for over the show's 50+ year tenure). Sounds pretty cool, right? Besides, as Black Milk Clothing founder/head designer James Lillis said in a press release, "Collaborations such as this have become such an important part of the Black Milk world, and Doctor Who is a great fit for Black Milk – it’s quirky, irreverent and colourful, just like us."

For their part, the BBC seems just as excited to team with Black Milk — their head of brand licensing, Jason Easy said, "We’re delighted to be partnering with Black Milk to bring this unique clothing range to Doctor Who’s legion of fans."

No promo images have been released, but it's pretty exciting to imagine the possibilities — how's a Cyberman bodysuit sound? A Dalek dress paired with a couple eggbeaters might make a nice lowkey outfit for your next convention... and, of course, as the image above proves, the inside of the TARDIS makes as lovely a dress as the outside no doubt will.

Are you as excited as I am? After all, with all of time and space as inspiration (and some of the Doctor's trademark flair), it's bound to be quite the collection. Oh, and if you can't wait for November, here are a few nerd-friendly shopping options to whet your appetite.
