Bieber's New Single Is Here!

by Alex Kritselis

It's a good day to be a Belieber: Justin Bieber's new single, "Sorry," is here. The song serves as the second official single from the 21-year-old superstar's upcoming album, Purpose (due out Nov. 13), and it's a major jam. So far, the Biebs' big musical comeback has gone off without a hitch. He was even able to somehow convince first lady Michelle Obama to promote his music! What can I say, when it comes to promo campaigns, the "Boyfriend" hit-maker does not mess around. If you're a hardcore Belieber, you're probably wondering how you can hear your idol's latest jam ASAP. Is Justin Bieber's "Sorry" on Spotify? Update: On Oct. 23, "Sorry" became available on Spotify and can now be streamed.

Unfortunately, no, the song is not yet available on the popular streaming service. This isn't surprising, though, because Bieber unexpectedly released it a day early. It was previously announced that "Sorry" would debut on Fri., Oct. 23. It's going to take a little while for it to appear everywhere, people!

Bieber's last single, "What Do You Mean?," debuted at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart thanks in large part to its popularity on streaming services like Spotify. According to Billboard, the Hot 100 chart ranks the top 100 songs in the country each week based on three factors: radio airplay, streaming data, and sales data. In other words, streaming is a critical part of a single's Hot 100 success. If Bieber wants to land more number ones (and I'm sure he does), it'd be smart for him to get "Sorry" on Spotify ASAP.

With its premiere only three weeks away, fans are starting to get really excited about Purpose. In addition to a much-anticipated remix of "What Do You Mean?" featuring Ariana Grande, the project may also include a new song with Selena Gomez that's rumored to be called "Strong." The previously unheard duet leaked online Sunday and sent the Internet into a tailspin. I wonder what other surprises Bieber has in store for us on the LP? We'll find out very soon.
