Unless you're just as out of the loop as Harry Potter is during summer holidays with the Dursleys, you've likely heard about Harry Potter and the Cursed Child , the stage adaptation that will also serve as an epilogue to the Harry Potter series and show Albus Severus Potter, Harry and Ginny's son, after he's been packed off for his first year at Hogwarts. As J.K. Rowling describes the plot, "While Harry grapples with a past that refuses to stay where it belongs, his youngest son Albus must struggle with the weight of a family legacy he never wanted." There will likely be a battle staged for casting of the play — who wouldn't want to land a role in the much coveted sequel? These 21 celebrities who love Harry Potter might be on the list.

But they could equally just be avid fans — it's honestly simple fun to imagine that Keira Knightley had just as big a crush on Sirius Black as we did. (You know you did. Come on.) Whether it's Saoirse Ronan, who was nearly cast as Luna Lovegood before Evanna Lynch nabbed the role; Jennifer Lawrence; or One Direction's Liam Payne, there are Harry Potter fans in the most unexpected of places. The number of entertainers and high-profile individuals who have come out as fans is pretty astonishing, so here are some of the highlights — though this list is by no means exhaustive.

The One Direction singer tweeted his fandom, and not only does he seem to love the series, he actually wants to be Harry.

2. Keira Knightley

"I’ve read all the books," she told MTV, adding that she had only seen the first film. "Harry, he’s pretty cool. He’s got a good scar."

3. Wesley Stromber

The singer-songwriter tweeted his anxiety about the conclusion of Harry Potter, adding that it was keeping him up at night back in August.

4. Ariana Grande

First thing you should know: Ariana Grande owns six dogs, according to the Daily Mail. Second thing: The sixth member of her "puppy posse" was named Sirius Black, because of course.

5. Chloe Grace Moretz

The If I Stay actress dressed in an elaborate Bellatrix Lestrange getup, demonstrating true Halloween #goals.

6. Jeremy Davis

The Paramore member told MTV, "The books and the movies went above and beyond any other series." We agree.

7. Jennifer Lawrence

The Hunger Games actress told Seth Meyers that she's such a fan, she screamed the first time she met Daniel Radcliffe.

Yet another Twitter confession, this time from One Directioner Niall Horan. Not only did he go on the studio tour, but it turned him on to the franchise so much that he reports having seen five of the (at least two-hour-length) films in three days.

9. Kellan Lutz

The actor best known for his role in Twilight told MTV that he wished there were as many Twilight books to make into movies as there were for Harry Potter . Then he also compared it to Everest. Lutz clearly has high opinions of the series.

Back in 2011, Gomez posted a photo of herself and some friends enjoying a glass of butterbeer while on holiday at Harry Potter Land.

Kate Middleton and Princes Harry and William visited the Harry Potter studios in 2011, where William confessed that, while he's seen all the movies, he hasn't read the books, according to Hello.

14. Kaycee Stroh

Stroh of High School Musical 3 fame read from Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone for Scholastic's "Cover to Cover Day." She told MTV that she "steps into [Hermione's] shoes when necessary."

15. Paul Wall

The rapper confessed that he wasn't a huge fan early on in the series, but came around to it later — as Harry has gotten "a little more gangsta," he told MTV. He added that his wife and daughter are even bigger fans than he is.

16. Jonathan Davis

The Korn frontman told MTV he loves the underdog quality about Harry himself — even when he's picked on, when he seems the least likely hero, he somehow comes back. "It’s pissed off a bunch of Christian people, and that made it even better for me," he added. That's certainly one way to look at it.

17. John Green

Green appeared on The Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson where he confessed his fandom. He's a self-proclaimed Hufflepuff, and he "wears it with pride," though real fans know to express their condolences. His brother Hank, with whom he runs the Vlogbrothers YouTube channel, is also a "Wizard Rocker." In Muggle terms, that's someone who plays Harry Potter-inspired music. Shirley Manson, the lead singer of the Scottish band Garbage, told MTV that her dog is named "Veela" for the supernaturally beautiful sirens of the Harry Potter series.

19. Autumn Reeser

Reeser, who's probably best known for her roles in The O.C. and Entourage, told MTV that she used to store art supplies in her Harry Potter lunch box, though she didn't discover the series till middle school.

20. Jonah Hill

In a separate MTV interview in the lead-up to the seventh book release, Hill joked, "I’ve already read it. Twice. He dies." Not funny, Jonah.

21. Amanda Bynes

In the same MTV round table as Jonah Hill, Bynes said, "I hope J.K. Rowling finds a way to extend it so it can continue on and it never actually ends." In a way, she'll get her wish — she wanted to see Harry fighting through married life, and that's exactly what the end of the seventh novel, and the upcoming Cursed Child, are all about.

There are surely more Harry Potter fans lurking out there among your favorite celebs. And the excitement around Pottermore, when it launched, and now Cursed Child, are a testament to the staying power of the series. The term "modern classic" gets thrown around a whole lot, but for once, it's true.
