Is Beyoncé Releasing A New Album In 2015?

by Alex Kritselis

While the world is distracted by the triumphant return of Adele, another global pop superstar may be quietly plotting her next move. According to music news website Hits Daily Double (HDD), Beyoncé could release a new album before the end of 2015. Well, that would certainly make the winter months a lot more interesting! Last Thursday, HDD listed a new album from Beyoncé alongside other "expected" fourth quarter releases. Shortly afterwards, the website reported that Rob Stringer, the head of Columbia Records, will have a lot to be thankful for this holiday season, as he has new projects from big acts like Adele, One Direction, and Beyoncé all set to drop in November. Wait, we could be getting a new Bey LP sometime next month? It's a Beynksgiving miracle!

Obviously, this information hasn't been confirmed by Beyoncé or her team yet, but it's worth nothing that HDD was one of the first publications to correctly report the release date for Adele's new album, 25 . Is new music from the "Drunk In Love" hit-maker on the horizon? I sure hope so. Beyoncé released her last album in December 2013 (it was a huge surprise, it "broke the Internet," yadda yadda yadda), and unfortunately, information about what she's been up to since then has been frustratingly scarce.

The diva may have a joint effort with husband Jay-Z in the works, but that rumor's been around for quite some time now and it has yet to be substantiated. There's also a rumor that she shot a new music video in August, but sadly, we don't have any hard evidence. So far, the two aforementioned reports from HDD are pretty much all the Beyhive has to go on! These are dark, confusing times.

Now, November is just around the corner, and if we were talking about any other artist but Beyoncé, I would say that we should be getting an official announcement about new music soon. But, as you know, the singer likes to play things close to the chest, so we might not hear any details about her next collection until it's up for sale on iTunes. That's just how she rolls.

Still, I'll be sure to keep an eye out for further developments.
