Starbucks' Red Holiday Cups Are BACK, People

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas, because Starbucks' red holiday cups are back, people. No, this is not a post-Halloween prank — I could never be that cruel. As an early holiday treat, Starbucks has brought back its beloved red cups to stores starting Nov. 1, along with a whole lineup of limited time-only seasonal holiday beverages. Prepare to get your little mittened hands on classic Gingerbread and Eggnog Lattes, the fan-favorite Peppermint Mocha, the Caramel Brulee Latte, and the Chestnut Praline Latte, which made its celebrated debut last year. And because we've all been good boys and girls this year, Starbucks also has a new holiday beverage up its sleeve. A new Holiday Spice Flat White will hit stores Nov. 30 (to be fair, November has only just begun — it's good to have something to look forward to).

Just like the Pumpkin Spice Latte has become synonymous with the start of fall, the holidays can't begin if you don't have a red holiday cup planted firmly in your hand. I'm using this opportunity as an excuse to finally put on Christmas music and get started drawing out the floor plan of the gingerbread house I say I'm going to make every year (#goals), but if you are looking for a slightly more subtle way to ring in red cup season, you could, y'know, just tweet about it. As an added bonus, if you tweet using the hashtag #RedCup or #RedCups, a teeny tiny red cup will appear, kind of like magic. Isn't it cute?

Use the hashtag #RedCupContest on Instagram for a chance to win a Starbucks eGift card. Last year, a red cup photo was posted on Instagram every 14 seconds within the first 48 hours of launch, so expect to have some tough competition.

This year's cups may look a little different than what you might remember, though. The brand, which changes up its holiday cup design ever year, opted for a much more minimalist makeover which, I gotta say, I'm digging:

Of course, with the red cups here and ready to party, it's time to say farewell to our BFF, the Pumpkin Spice Latte. I know, it's a sad moment, but he'll be back! And in the meantime, he's written this bit of PSL poetry for you to remember him by:

BRB, crying.
