Allison Williams Does Denim For 'Harper's' Cover

Here's a quick riddle. What should an all-American girl, who also stars on Girls, wear on the cover of the fashion magazine for which she served as a special guest editor? Denim, of course! Actress Allison Williams covered harper by Harper's Bazaar in an all-denim outfit, pairing a light wash, button down top with dark rinse jeans. She rolled up her sleeves —literally— for this issue, posing in an outfit comprised of basics and working to create the finished product.

Cover-wise, it was a perfectly executed glamsual ensemble. For the rest of the harper by Harper's Bazaar shoot, Williams rocked leather Coach pants, Guess jeans shorts, a Zara leather jacket, and destroyed H&M jeans. There were plenty of high-low mashups.

The newly married Williams guest-edited the December/January 2016 issue of the publication and she looks stunning on the cover. Her oversized denim shirt is unbuttoned but we only see a hint of skin. There's no cleavage peeking out in this shot. In fact, all you see is a long, silver chain necklace and a sliver of bellybutton. Those elements added an air of tease.

Williams didn't overdo it with makeup, either. She wasn't unrecognizable. Her face was bronzed and contoured, while her beachy waves framed her killer cheekbones. She finished the look with some pale pink lipstick.

Williams is so hot on this cover that lava just got jealous. Want to copy her cover look, since it's so real girl, easy to shop, and relatable? Let's do this, with a few, fun tweaks.

You will want to rock this J. Crew chambray shirt. You can twist and contort it at will. It's also the same brand as the one Williams wore on her cover. ($98, jcrew.com)

These black chinos hit at the ankle, but the skinny, structured shape is quite an excellent contrast to the volume of the top. I like these pants because they can easily dress up a denim shirt. ($50, thelimited.com)

Or you can keep it totally denim with these stretchy black skinnies. ($20, ae.com)

A super long necklace, like this silver lariat version, is the cheap and chic touch that this outfit needs. It's a small but effective dose of glam. ($5, forever21.com)

Add a cuff bracelet and you are done.

You've just copied the all-American girl look that Williams perfected on her cover. ($5, forever21.com)
