Audrina Got A Drastic Hair Makeover For Fall

by Sienna Fantozzi

Getting a new hair cut or dying your hair are shocking enough on their own, so doing both at the same time produces some drastically different results. Audrina Patridge went blonde and got a lob, according to People, so she gave meaning to the phrase "go big or go home" when you're at the hair salon.

The Hills star has been known for her signature light brown, long layered locks (which definitely made its appearance on several Pinterest "hairspiration" boards), but it looks like she wasn't only ready to switch up her color, but her cut, as well. Patridge debuted her new haircut on Instagram on Monday, showing off a textured lob. "Yep! It’s short…. @brianacisneros and I decided it was time to change it up!,” she captioned the post.

But the shocks didn't stop there, because not only is her hair much shorter, but she also added blonde highlights to her ends, so I guess summer isn't the only time to lighten up your hair.

It's definitely an edgier look for her, but she can totally pull it off. Sorry, guys, but I guess long hair isn't exactly coming back for fall. The lob/bob trend is here to stay, and Audrina's is pretty darn great.

Unlike a more blunt lob, this cut is so textured, it's perfect for her California-girl beach waves.

But when she wears it straight, it still falls just like a normal, non-textured lob would.

As great as the cut is, the color is even better. I know it's highlighted, but it looks so natural.

Because her colorist darkened her roots, it helps the blonde pop even more and gives her dimension, which helps keep it looking natural.

Audrina has actually been blonde before, but the color was lighter and the highlights were heavier, so that definitely requires more maintenance than her color now.

And given that she's a natural brunette:

Her latest look is a good balance between the two. And even though she rocked mermaid hair like no other...

I'm excited to see the styling possibilities with her shorter hair.
