Donald Trump Skits On 'SNL' Are Always Funny

by Alicia Lu

Some of us may have complained about Donald Trump's upcoming hosting gig on SNL, arguing that it might help his campaign. But who are we kidding? We're going to watch the hell out of it. This won't be Trump's first time hosting the sketch comedy series, and it certainly won't be the first time he's been featured in a skit. In fact, Trump is quite a fixture on the SNL stage, and has been the focus of many skits — just not in person. In anticipation of his hosting stint this Saturday, get yourself pumped with the best Trump SNL skits.

There's a reason that when Trump announced his presidential campaign, Jon Stewart thanked the higher powers that be. He is a bottomless treasure trove of comedic and satirical inspiration. A gift that never stops giving. A never-ending mill providing fodder for mockery. He's an ongoing joke that writes itself.

For this reason, Trump has been a favorite of SNL's writers, who are never short on material as long as he's in the public eye. While we'll have to wait a few more days to see what they come up with for Trump himself — for instance, whether the material will include a healthy dose of self-mockery or if Trump's team vets it and only the tamer jokes pass — you can get even more excited for his performance than you already are (don't pretend you aren't) by watching these choice skits featuring America's favorite joke.

That Time Trump Endorsed Domino's

Clearly, the pizza company has been pronouncing its own name wrong this whole time.

Trump Promotes His New Show, The Apprentice

But of course uses the opportunity to brag about his wealth.

Trump Has Been Making Disparaging Remarks About Immigrants For Years

If you thought his offensive, racist views on immigrants were a new thing, this skit will remind you otherwise.

Trump Talks About His 'Yuuge' House

He also has a tenuous grasp on the concept of a birth certificate.

He Can't Shut Up About Rosie O'Donnell

At his press conference for The Apprentice, Trump swears that he won't mention O'Donnell, and then proceeds to insult her with every answer. Perhaps they'll write a similar skit about his fixation on Megyn Kelly.

Jimmy Fallon Wouldn't Stand A Chance On The Apprentice

Trump makes an appearance on Weekend Update to tell anchor Jimmy Fallon that he's "gotta do something with that hair." You're one to talk, Trump.

Donald Trump And Melania Trump's Cold Open

Taking over the Trump mockery reins from Darrell Hammond, Taran Killam impersonates Trump like a boss while Cecily Strong is the perfect Melania. This skit was so good that even the Donald himself tweeted his praise.
