Viperblack Aims To Make The Darkest Shade Of Black

by Eliza Florendo

Neiman Marcus once said, "Women who wear black live colorful lives," and I cant help but praise this sentiment. And apparently, I'm not the only one: Viperblack is a new line that promises to create the darkest shade of black ever. Excuse me, what? Fashion gals and guys will be cheering from this announcement — there's no color that gets me like black does.

Who started this wonderful line, you ask? Well of course, Phoebe Heess, who has also designed for the Adidas x Stella McCartney line. Duh, no surprise there. Viperblack was actually launched as a Kickstarter by Heess and Gabriel Platt, her business partner, according to Who What Wear.

It may seem like there's no possible way to make black any darker. But fear not. Apparently, the two partners want to create a fabric that "produces 40% less light," according to Who What Wear. Count me in. Now let's help them reach their goal of $11,342, to get this thing started! You know you'll want a piece of this line! I know all city-dwellers will.

Check out the video below from their Kickstarter explaining how they came up with their idea, how they approached coming up with the blackest black ever, and what you can expect from the brand.

However, if you can't wait until they reach their goal, there's still hope. Check out some ultra black pieces to shop that definitely won't disappoint. Like Viperblack, these were inspired by the quote, "I'll stop wearing black when they invent a darker color." Preach!
