Watch the Trailer for the Coen Bros.' New Oscar Bait

by Maitri Suhas

A new trailer from the Coen Brothers! It's like Christmas in July. Watch the trailer for their upcoming film Inside Lleywn Davis, which stars Oscar Issac, Carey Mulligan, Justin Timberlake, and John Goodman:

The film, which won the Grand Prix Award at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival, is a period piece centered on the creation of the folk scene in 1960s New York. Oscar Isaac plays Llewyn Davis, an aspiring folk singer struggling to make a name for himself in Greenwich Village. I'm super excited because this film is a triple threat from the Coens — written, directed, and produced! Also, because the soundtrack is shaping up to be amazing. It was produced by T-Bone Burnett, who worked with the Coen brothers on the soundtrack for O Brother, Where Art Thou?. Burnett collaborated with Marcus Mumford of Mumford & Sons, who sings the song from the trailer, a cover of folk classic "Fare Thee Well (Dink's Song)."

Rolling Stone released the track listing for the soundtrack to Inside Llewyn Davis, which includes classics from Bob Dylan and Dave Van Ronk, as well as a number of covers sung by stars Issac, Mulligan, and Timberlake.

Inside Llewyn Davis will be released by CBS Films on Dec. 6.
