Adele Rocks Signature Matte Lips On 'The Observer'

Having a signature look and a beauty "go-to" is actually really awesome because it means you are not beholden to come and go trends. You can also either perfect or try variations of your hallmarks. That's not boring or same old, same old; that's just... smart. Adele covers The Observer , which she guest-edited, with her signature thick, cat-eye flick and rosy, matte lips. Those are Adele's hallmarks and she truly makes an effective case for that whole "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" argument.

The "Hello" singer tweeted that her excitement about being on the cover of the exhumed publication. With her thick, auburn hair swept back yet blowing around face, the singer's black-rimmed eyes stare right into the camera. It's almost uncomfortable; I found myself having to look away because I felt like Adele and I were having an intense stare off.

Usually, Adele's eyes and her flawless flick are the focus of her covers, with the exception of Rolling Stone, where she went makeup-free. Here, it's more about her pout.

Her lips were painted with a dusty, rosy shade of matte lipstick. Adele favors all sorts pinks and reds on her lips and she tends to "stick" with lipstick, as opposed to opting for a super shiny gloss.

Her look is classic and she has pretty much trademarked it.

Those lips! They are defined and perfectly painted, but they're not overdrawn, overdone, and inflated.
