Paris Hostages Leave Bataclan Theater — PHOTOS

On Friday, Nov. 13, tragedy struck Paris, France, as multiple events in the city lead to over 100 deaths. Gunmen and people armed with grenades attacked in at least three locations, including Le Petit Cambodge restaurant, Bataclan theater, and outside of Stade de France, the national stadium. In addition, hostages were held at Bataclan. A few hours after attacks began, police stormed the concert hall and many Bataclan hostages were released.

Tragically, a startling number of hostages did not make it out safely. According to The Telegraph, 100 people were killed in the attacks on Bataclan. Deadline reports that "two of the hostage takers were killed in the assault by authorities."

Photos of the Bataclan hostages being released show the severity of the attacks. While many people are shown walking away from the venue, there are also a number of injured and dead among the hostages.

In addition, the band that was playing at Bataclan at the time, the Eagles of Death Metal, may also have been among the hostages. A statement on the band's Facebook page reads, "We are still currently trying to determine the safety and whereabouts of all our band and crew. Our thoughts are with all of the people involved in this tragic situation."
