What's In The Gilmore Girls' Fridge?

by Mary Grace Garis

If you've watched an episode or 153 of Gilmore Girls, you may have noticed that Lorelai and Rory have two great loves: coffee and every other sort of food stuff that's bad for you. In fact, I'm pretty sure half of Luke's appeal to Lorelai was the constant stream of artery-clogging meals he could offer her at the diner. And it makes you wonder what blend of take-out and junk food is in the Gilmore Girls' fridge, anyway? The mind boggles at what could be bursting from those egg-shell doors, as the Gilmores are quite possibly the most formidable tag team of gormandizers in television history.

They are also, I'm pretty sure, medical marvels. How can Rory maintain that stunning porcelain clear skin with a grease-intensive diet? How does Lorelai have such immeasurable pep when all the mallomars and bacon burgers should have in a constant state of sugar crash (or meat sweats, pick your poison)? The world will never know, but I assume their rapid-fire conversations burn off the food before heartburn can ever set in. Still, an intense Gilmore Girl marathon watch (and several re-watches since) have equipped me with some guesses as to what may be in their fridge.

For years, magazines have been clawing at the age-old question of "What's in her purse?" But, here at Bustle, we understand what truly matters is what's in a lady's heart... and fridge. And, with Gilmore Girls fans' morbid curiosity in mind, here is a sneak peek of what the inside of the Gilmore Girls' fridge probably looks like. You know, so you know what to shop for to get yourself on that Gilmore Girls diet.
