Chloe Grace Moretz Bares All On 'NYLON' Cover

At 13, she was a crime-fighting viligante. At 15, a rebellious teenager-turned-werewolf. And now, at 18, Chloë Grace Moretz is the December/January NYLON cover girl. The Hollywood starlet has not only mastered the acting craft, but she's sartorially skilled, a reigning social media queen, and above all, wise beyond her years. Navigating the waters as a child actress to an in-demand talent is often tricky. There's a fine line between innocence and maintaining the "good girl" image that comes pre-packaged with every young star — and then there's the boundary that is crossed when she matures and enters adulthood. In Moretz's case, she's seamlessly made the transition, and in true style.

Moretz's latest NYLON cover is definitive proof of her progression. While she's graced the glossy before, this issue is noteworthy in that it shows Moretz like never before. This time around, Moretz talks seduction with exposed skin and smoldering eyes. It's heart-stopping and alluring at the same time — the perfect primer to Moretz's cover story on everything from politics (she's team Hillary Clinton) to aliens and body image.

Over bowling and fried jalapeños, NYLON editor-at-large Patty Adams Martinez chatted with Moretz on feminism, a topic which Moretz is strongly passionate about. “My mom was a single mom, so I’ve been a feminist since birth," she says in her interview. "I think feminism is about strong women being who they want to be and fighting for equality on all accounts."

There's no question that Moretz has gracefully blossomed from on-screen siren to intellectual and ambitious young woman. Take a look at her style evolution and see how her wardrobe has matured from pre-teen to sophisticated style icon.

1. The Amityville Horror (2005)

Where to even begin? From the sparkly princess gown of every six-year-old's fantasy to that award-winning smile, there's much to swoon over.

2. 500 Days Of Summer (2009)

While dream team Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Zooey Deschanel may have captured our hearts in this classic indie flick, one cannot forget about Moretz's role as the wisdom-parting Rachel Hansen. Even at twenty, I wish I was this philosophical when it comes to tackling romance.

3. Hugo (2011)

With such powerful on-screen charisma, it's no wonder Moretz was cast in Martin Scorsese's Academy Award-winning Hugo. Not only does she nail the British accent, but her red carpet ensemble is all-around polished.

4. Kick-Ass 2 (2013)

The first time I was exposed to Moretz, she was chopping enemies and spilling blood as the forever admirable Hit Girl in Kick-Ass. But at the sequel's premiere in 2013, Moretz traded her purple locks for a more refined getup: a striped pantsuit.

5. Carrie (2013)

Moretz might as well be crowned the modern day scream queen. At the Carrie premiere, Moretz rocked a modest frock complete with retro polka dots and ankle strap heels — mature with a chic touch.

6. If I Stay (2014)

Last year, Moretz opted for the risqué route in the formal wear department. The lace panels were both provocative and elegant, an appropriate combo for a girl about to hit the mark of adulthood.

7. NYFW (2015)

Meet modern day Moretz — who is still as stylish as ever. At the Coach S/S 2016 show at NYFW in September, Moretz pulled off a sleek leather skirt and patterned blouse for everything cool and suave.
